Oil analysis

A lubricant in a machine is subject to a series of contamination and degradation. These phenomena have, of course, a negative influence on the lubricating properties and on the functioning of the machine. Oil for instance, contains a large amount of information coming from the entire machine. Analysis of a correctly taken sample, which is representative for the whole circuit, gives a clear and accurate picture of the condition of both the oil and the machine.

The analysis of this oil is part of the predictive and proactive maintenance. With predictive maintenance all the irregularities are detected, while proactive maintenance will try to prevent these irregularities by taking away their existence.

Unlike preventive maintenance, proactive maintenance ensures that the causes are addressed and not just the symptoms.
